Provided is a lithium secondary battery, which comprises a cathode; an anode; a separator positioned between the cathode and the anode, and including a porous material and a coating layer formed on at least one surface of the porous material; and an electrolyte, wherein the anode comprises a current collector, an anode active material layer positioned on the current collector, and including polyvinylidene fluoride (PVdE) latex particles and an aqueous binder, and a polymer layer positioned on the anode active material layer and including PVdE latex particles, and the coating layer comprises a fluorine-system polymer, ceramic or a combination thereof.
