PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording treatment liquid which is excellent in discharge stability and paper face drying characteristics when left on an uncapped head and suppresses elution of a compound derived from a rubber member or the like into the treatment liquid in an inkjet record apparatus.SOLUTION: The treatment liquid used for inkjet recording includes: a flocculant; water; and a penetrant. The penetrant includes: tetraethylene glycol monobutyl ether; and pentaethylene glycol monobutyl ether. The weight ratio (X : Y) of tetraethylene glycol monobutyl ether (X) to pentaethylene glycol monobutyl ether (Y) in the treatment liquid is 50 : 50 to 90 : 10. The total composition amount (X+Y) of the tetraethylene glycol monobutyl ether (X) to the pentaethylene glycol monobutyl ether (Y) in the whole amount of the treatment liquid is 1-10 wt.%.
