<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly detect disconnection of a voltage detection line with a simple circuit configuration. <P>SOLUTION: A power supply device comprises: a plurality of battery modules 1 connected in series; a voltage detection circuit 2 which is connected to an electrode terminal of each of the battery modules 1 via a voltage detection line 9, and which detects a voltage of each battery module 1 and determines disconnection of the voltage detection line 9 based on the detected voltage; and a short circuit 3 for temporarily short-circuiting an input side of the voltage detection circuit 2. The short circuit 3 comprises: a short-circuit transistor 4 having a collector and an emitter connected to the input side of the voltage detection circuit 2; and a mirror circuit 5 connected to a base of the short-circuit transistor 4. When the voltage detection line 9 is in a non-disconnected state, the mirror circuit 5 cuts off a base current of the short-circuit transistor 4 so as to turn the short-circuit transistor 4 into an off-state, whereas it switches the short-circuit transistor 4 over to an on-state without cutting off the base current of the short-circuit transistor 4 so as to short-circuit the input side of the voltage detection circuit 2 when the voltage detection line 9 is in a disconnected state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
