<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for preventing the generation of a minute pulse width and stabilizing image formation. <P>SOLUTION: An image gradation processing apparatus includes: a detection part; a calculation part; a first replacement part; and a second replacement part. The detection part detects a pixel included in a halftone pattern used for halftone processing and whose pixel value is within a predetermined range. The calculation part calculates the sum of the value detected by the detection part. The first replacement part replaces the pixel value detected by the detection part with a first value larger than a maximum value of the predetermined range until the sum of the replaced pixel value reaches the sum calculated by the calculation part or larger in the order of the higher priority of pixels. The second replacement part replaces a pixel value other than that replaced by the first replacement part among the pixels detected by the detection part with a second value smaller than a minimum value of the predetermined range. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
