<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve data transmission efficiency without expanding hardware configuration.SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus divides pixels in a screen into a plurality of subpixels, to process a three-dimensional object formed of faces with resolution by subpixel. The image processing apparatus includes: a rasterization processing unit which outputs a Z-value of a point on a face corresponding to a pixel when at least a part of the pixel is included in the faces projected on a screen, and gradient of the Z-value of the face; a Z-value calculation unit which calculates a Z-value of a point on a face corresponding to a subpixel by use of the Z-value of the point on the face corresponding to the pixel and the gradient of the Z-value output by the rasterization processing unit; and a Z-test processing unit which performs Z-test by subpixel by use of the Z-value of the point on the face corresponding to the subpixel calculated by the Z-value calculation unit.</p> |
