<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the followability to a command value without complicating a control system. <P>SOLUTION: A driving device for stepping motors has: a current detector 11 detecting current values flowing in coils 4 and 5 of a bipolar-type 2-phase stepping motor 1; and a controller 30 performing the feedback control of a current to be applied to a coil based on a current deviation Ie of a detected current value Id by the current detector from a command current value Ir to the coil based on an operation command to the bipolar-type 2-phase stepping motor.
