<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve stability of damping force generation feeling by avoiding a response delay during stroke reversal in both an expansion side stroke and a compression side stroke of a front fork. <P>SOLUTION: In the front fork 10, a piston device 46 includes two pistons, i.e., first and second, pistons 61 and 62 respectively provided in two positions along a piston rod 40, wherein the first piston 61 defines a first main oil chamber 51 between the first piston 61 and a first rod guide 35, the second piston 62 defines a second main oil chamber 52 between the second piston 62 and a second rod guide 36, and an intermediate chamber 53 sandwiched by the first and second pistons 61 and 62 is provided inside a cylinder 31.
