发明名称 Gas treatment method with catalytic hydrolysis of COS and/or CS2
摘要
#CMT# #/CMT# The process comprises: performing hydrogenation of unsaturated hydrocarbon compounds to paraffins by contacting a gas with a hydrogenation catalyst in a presence of hydrogen at 100-400[deg] C to provide a gaseous effluent depleted in the unsaturated hydrocarbon compounds; and performing a catalytic hydrolysis of carbonyl sulfide (COS) and/or carbon disulfide (CS 2) present in the gaseous effluent from the hydrogenation step in a presence of water to provide a gaseous effluent rich in hydrogen sulfide (H 2S) by contacting the gaseous effluent from the hydrogenation step with a hydrolysis catalyst. #CMT# : #/CMT# The process comprises: performing hydrogenation of unsaturated hydrocarbon compounds to paraffins by contacting a gas with a hydrogenation catalyst in a presence of hydrogen at a temperature of 100-400[deg] C to provide a gaseous effluent depleted in the unsaturated hydrocarbon compounds, where the hydrogenation catalyst comprises a metal consisting of palladium, platinum, nickel and cobalt deposited on a porous support; and performing a catalytic hydrolysis of carbonyl sulfide (COS) and/or carbon disulfide (CS 2) present in the gaseous effluent from the hydrogenation step in the presence of water to provide a gaseous effluent rich in hydrogen sulfide (H 2S) by contacting the gaseous effluent from the hydrogenation step with a hydrolysis catalyst consisting of alumina or titanium oxide. The hydrogenation and catalytic hydrolysis steps are carried out in a reactor (1) comprising a hydrogenation catalyst bed and a hydrolysis catalyst bed. The beds are arranged with respect to one another in the reactor so that the gas to be treated comes in to contact with the hydrogenation catalyst bed before the hydrolysis catalyst bed. The hydrogenation and catalytic hydrolysis steps are carried out at a pressure of 0.1-5 MPa and a space velocity of 1000-4000 h -> 1>. The process further comprises treating the effluent rich in H 2S in a unit for trapping H 2S or for converting H 2S into elementary sulfur. A liquid/gas separation of the gas to be treated is implemented before carrying out the hydrogenation step. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# The process is useful for treating a gas containing from 10 ppm by volume to 0.5 vol.% of one of compounds such as COS and/or CS 2 and from 30 ppm by volume to 5 vol.% of unsaturated hydrocarbon compounds, where the gas to be treated is obtained from coal or petcoke or even biomass gasification units or from calcination furnaces of carbon black production units (all claimed). #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The process is capable of treating the gas containing COS and/or CS 2 and unsaturated hydrocarbon compounds in a simple manner. #CMT#DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS : #/CMT# The figure shows a schematic view of a process for treating a gas. 1 : Reactor 2 : Hydrolysis reactor 8 : Heat exchanger 10 : Liquid/gas separator 12 : Treatment unit. #CMT#INORGANIC CHEMISTRY : #/CMT# Preferred Components: The hydrogenation catalyst comprises 0.02-4 wt.% of platinum, 0.05-5 wt.% of palladium, 0.5-15 wt.% of nickel, 0.5-15 wt.% of cobalt, and 1-20 wt.% of molybdenum. The hydrolysis catalyst contains 0.5-10 wt.% of sulfate or silicate of an alkali metal or alkaline earth metal or of a rare earth, 60-99.8 wt.% of titanium oxide or alumina, and 1-25 wt.% of metal consisting of nickel, cobalt, molybdenum and tungsten.
