A fingerprint recognition sensor according to the present invention recognizes a finger fingerprint image of a user through a light guided from an optical system, synthesizes a number of recognized fingerprint images, delivers the entire synthesized fingerprint image to a base device, and recognizes finger motion of the user and delivers the recognized motion vector information to the base device. The fingerprint recognition sensor can be driven by low power and is made in a compact structure in order to be appropriate for application to a small mobile device such as a mobile phone. The fingerprint recognition sensor has not only a function as an optical fingerprint recognition sensor which can be used as security input information of the user, but also a function as a motion sensor which can recognize motion of the user and can use the recognized motion as user input information. |
