The present invention relates to a flicker detection method and flicker detection apparatus. The method includes the steps of: calculating average values of selected rows in image frames for configuring an average vector; calculating a difference vector between average value vectors of a current frame and a previous frame; calculating a DC-free difference vector by subtracting a DC component from each element of the difference vector; calculating a power spectrum corresponding to the DC-free difference vector; calculating a first frequency reference value; calculating a second frequency reference value; and determining that a flicker is present in the current frame when the difference between the first and second reference values is greater than a threshold value, and determining that a flicker is not present otherwise. |
