<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make X-ray contrast thread hard to tear while improving visibility on an X-ray image in medical gauze with the X-ray contrast thread woven in. <P>SOLUTION: At least one X-ray contrast thread 4 is woven into a predetermined part of medical gauze 1 constituted of warp 2 and weft 3. The X-ray contrast thread 4 is composite thread formed by covering the periphery of core thread 4A of high tensile strength made of multi-filament thread, with a contrast layer 4B made of thermoplastic resin containing a radiopaque contrast medium. Contrast property and visibility on the X-ray image can thereby be enhanced by the contrast layer 4B, and the core thread 4A of high tensile strength can make the X-ray contrast thread 4 hard to tear. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT</p> |
