<p>The invention relates to a method for producing helical springs by spring winding by means of a numerically controlled spring winding machine, wherein a wire (115) is fed through a feeding device (110) of a forming device (120) of the spring winding machine under the control of a NC control program, formed into a helical spring with the aid of tools (122; 124; 130; 140) of the forming device and a produced helical spring is then separated from the fed wire by means of a cutting device (150). At at least one point in time during the forming operation, a measurement is carried out on the helical spring. The method is characterized in that the wire is continually fed to the forming device, a measurement is carried out on the helical spring during the feeding and the produced helical spring is separated from the fed wire by a rotating, flying cut.</p> |
