The present invention relates to a polyketone polymerization catalyst. More specifically, ((2, 2-dimethyl-1, 3-dioxane-5, 5-diyl) bis(methylene)) bis(bis(2-methoxyphenyl)phosphine) is used as a ligand constituting the polyketone polymerization catalyst. Therefore, the polyketone polymerization catalyst has high activity, a simple structure, and low molecular weight. Production costs of the polyketone polymerization catalyst are reduced. The polyketone polymerization catalyst can be commercially and massively synthesized. The present invention relates to the novel polyketone polymerization catalyst and to a method for producing the ligand.
