<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compression tester reducing damage by explosion. <P>SOLUTION: The compression tester includes: a load mechanism, in which a sample W is disposed between the crosshead 14 as a stationary member and the table 15 as a moving member, for providing a compression load to the sample W by displacement of the table 15 in a direction to the crosshead 14; a stroke measuring device 19 which is a measurement means for measurement of the displacement; and a control device 21. The control device 21 determines whether a rate of increase of the displacement measured is greater than the predetermined explosion threshold or not. When the rate is greater than the explosion threshold, the control device 21 controls a load cylinder 12 to stop applying the compressive load to the specimen W. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
