A connector for a conductor of a power cable comprises a hollow outer member 3 and a conductive inner member 4. When the outer member is tightened to a counter member 2, it exerts an axial force on the inner member, causing the inner member to exert a radial force on the conductor. The inner member may be made of a plurality of shims, held together by a ring 17. The outer member may be screw threaded, or may have a pin-and-groove arrangement (25, 26, Fig 5). The connector can handle conductors of a range of different diameters.
|
