PURPOSE: A method for automatically identifying a femtocell position in a mobile communication system and a system thereof are provided to prevent paging generation or unnecessary registration processing in the same area by setting femtocell position identification information with position identification information set in a macro cell. CONSTITUTION: A femto AP(Access Point)#1 confirms position identification information of a neighbor macro cell(S30). The femto AP#1 transmits the confirmed position identification information in the femto cell setting processing of a femto management server(S40). The femto management server sets the position identification information as position identification information of the femto AP#1(S60).
