<p>Disclosed is a method for recovering reactivity of inactivated nano zero-valent iron, and for extending lifespan of the nano zero-valent iron. The method includes the steps of applying an organic material on the inactivated nano zero-valent iron comprising a core and a surface coating layer; and recovering reactivity of the surface coating layer of the inactivated nano zero-valent iron by the organic material. Reactivity of the surface coating layer can be recovered by a chelating reaction between the surface coating layer and a ligand of the organic material. Moreover, the organic material is desirably one or more selected from a group consisting of catechols, thiol, hydroxamate, and flavin. In addition, the organic material is applied more desirably under a neutral condition of pH 7.</p> |
