The present invention relates to a liquid crystal display device, and more specifically, to a liquid crystal display device which has a light shielding member and a thin-film transistor on the same substrate. The liquid crystal display device according to an embodiment of the present invention includes: a first substrate and a second substrate facing each other; the thin-film transistor arranged on the first substrate; a pixel electrode connected to the thin-film transistor; a first light shielding member which is arranged on the pixel electrode; and a cover layer which is arranged on the first light shielding layer and covers the first light shielding member.
