The present invention relates to a secondary battery, which comprises an electrode assembly including a first electrode plate with a first polarity, a second electrode plate with a second polarity and a separator interposed therebetween; an electrolyte; a can having an opening formed on top so as to insert the electrode assembly, and accommodating the electrode assembly and the electrolyte therein; a cap plate sealing the opening of the can and forming a dented area and a projected area projected along a first direction facing upward so as to form a difference from the dented area when combining to the can; a protective circuit module arranged on the cap plate; and an electrode terminal formed on the cap plate. |
