According to an embodiment of the present invention, a printing apparatus includes: a data receiving unit which receives at least one data from a host computer; a receiving buffer which stores the received data; a buffer scanning unit which processes data including a predetermined command; a data interpreter which interprets data stored in the receiving buffer in the received order; and a controlling unit which controls the printing apparatus to perform an operation corresponding to each interpreted data in the received order.
