Provided are a method for providing a message service on a call service comprising a first step of receiving a first path connection request signal from a transmitting terminal; a second step of receiving a second path connection request signal from a receiving terminal; a third step of forming a data path between the transmitting terminal and the receiving terminal based on the first and second path connection request signals; a fourth step of receiving a message service transition request signal for requesting a transition to a message service from at least one among the transmitting terminal and the receiving terminal and transmitting the message service transition request signal to a counterpart terminal; and a fifth step of providing the message service by transmitting and receiving a message between the transmitting terminal and the receiving terminal though the formed data path when a message service transition permission signal is received from the counterpart terminal, a system using the same, and a message service providing device using the same.
