The present invention relates to a golf club head (10) having a round face (19). According to the present invention, a round face (10) in the shape of an arc is formed on a face of a club head (10) in order to improve directionality of the club head. Due to enhanced directionality of the club head, even when a golf ball (60) is hit by a round face on a heel side (23) or a round face on a toe side (24) instead of a face center (12), the golf ball (60) can fly in the direction close to the direction in which the golf ball hit by the face center (12) flies. A face of an iron or a putter of the prior club head (30) is flat. Contrarily, a driver and a wood have faces of which centers are convex. The club head of the present invention has the round face (19) of which the center is recessed whil a face of the prior club head is flat or convex. Therefore, the club head (10) improves directionality by the golf ball (60) can fly in the direction close to the direction in which the golf ball hit by the face center (12) flies which even when the golf ball (60) is hit by the round face on a heel side (23) or the round face on a toe side (24) instead of a face center (12). |
