According to the present invention, an error detection apparatus for a gate driving part comprises an error detection part, a memory, and a signal output part. The error detection part receives a gate signal from the gate driving part, and determines whether the gate driving part is in a normal state or in an error state. The memory stores the state of the gate driving part determined by the error detection part. The signal output part selectively outputs a clock signal or an error signal depending on the state of the gate driving part stored in the memory. As a result, the present invention can improve the reliability of a display device.
