The present invention relates to an apparatus for creating location-based multimedia contents and a method therefor, capable of providing road guide information suitable for a user. The method for creating location-based multimedia contents according to the present invention comprises the steps of: allowing an information input unit to transmit location-based multimedia information including location information and time information collected through a GPS receiver, multimedia information corresponding to images and voices supplied from a camera, and additional information for selection and addition; allowing an information storage unit to match and store the location information, time information, additional information, and multimedia information; when the search location to be searched is input, allowing a route extraction unit to extract a route corresponding to the search location; allowing an information search unit to perform content search on the extracted route based on a partial section such that the contents are searched according to the combination standard in cases where a plurality of location-based multimedia contents including the partial section are searched, and then to provide the content search results; allowing an information creation unit to extract only contents corresponding to respective sections with respect to location-based multimedia contents by sections from the content search results, and to combine the extracted contents to create novel location based multimedia contents. |
