The present invention relates to a composition containing, as an active ingredient, mesenchymal stem cells derived from human embryonic stem cells for preventing and/or treating liver fibrosis or liver cirrhosis. Specifically, the mesenchymal stem cells derived from human embryonic stem cells were verified to prevent liver fibrosis, and thus the mesenchymal stem cells derived from human embryonic stem cells can be useful as an active ingredient of a composition or health functional food for protecting the liver, and preventing and treating liver fibrosis or liver cirrhosis. |
