METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR MEASUREMENT OF MU-MIMO INTERFERENCE IN A CELLULAR SYSTEM

According to an embodiment of the present invention, a method for measuring interference by an evolved NodeB (eNB) and an eNB are provided. The method comprises the steps of: configuring at least one first type interference measurement resource in a user equipment (UE); transmitting signals for a plurality of UE within a cell range of the eNB to the at least one first type interference measurement resource; and receiving channel status information generated in accordance with a signal received in the at least one first type interference measurement resource. According to an embodiment of the present invention, a method for measuring interference by UE and UE are further provided. The method comprises the steps of: receiving a configuration of at least one first type interference measurement resource from an eNB and receiving signals for a plurality of UE within a cell range of the eNB in at least one of the first type interference measurement resource; measuring first interference generated from a signal which the eNB transmits for remaining UE except for the UE among the plurality of UE in accordance with the signals for the plurality of UE; and transmitting channel status information generated in accordance with the measured interference information. According to embodiments of the present invention, multi user-multiple input multiple output (MU-MIMO) interference may be measured in an FD-MIMO system.
