<p>The present invention relates to an apparatus and method for estimating heating and cooling demand of an apartment building using finite element method, which are capable of being effectively utilized at an early stage of a project from the point of view of a designer or construction projector manager. According to an embodiment of the present invention, an apparatus for estimating heating and cooling demand of an apartment building includes: a database unit which stores the results of energy simulation using architectural design elements and window and door design elements as variables; an input interface unit which receives an input of variables including an orientation value and a window area ratio value; a heating and cooling demand calculation unit which calculates heating and cooling demand by performing a finite element method operation using the inputted orientation value and window area ratio value as independent variables, using the simulation results stored in the database unit; and a display unit which displays the calculated heating and cooling demand.</p> |
