According to the present invention, the method for providing a service based on a user location is performed by a service providing apparatus and comprises: a step of receiving a notification message from either a base station or a core network, wherein the notification message notifies that the location of a terminal entering a local community service providing area is registered; a step of checking if the user of the terminal is registered in a local community; a step of checking whether the user is a first user or a second user; a step of checking if a notification message provided by a second user is stored when the user is confirmed to be a first user, wherein the second user is predetermined by the first user; and a step of transmitting the notification message, if the notification message is stored, to the terminal of the first user and enabling the first user to use a local community service.
