According to an embodiment of the present invention, the method of a user terminal for transmitting/receiving signals in a wireless communications system includes: a step of determining whether a first synchronization signal is successfully received; a step of determining whether a second synchronization signal is successfully received; and a step of transmitting a synchronization signal corresponding to the first synchronization signal, if the first and second synchronization signals are not received. If a user terminal fails to receive a synchronization signal of a base station or is located outside the coverage of the base station, or if the base station is not working properly due to an emergency or a disaster situation, the present invention enables the user terminal to establish self-synchronization with other user terminals in a certain area without the help of the base station, thereby enabling broadcast and unicast among the user terminals based on the self-synchronization.
