The prevent invention relates to a bio signal sensing apparatus worn on the wrist and a method of detecting an emergency situation using the same. The present invention relates to a bio signal sensing apparatus worn on the wrist which includes: a first sensing part which is located in the upper part of the radial artery of the wrist and senses a pulse by a piezo film; a second sensing part which emits light to a part of the wrist and senses the movement of the wrist or the pulse through reflected light; and a wrist wearing type main body to which the first sensing part and the second sensing part are installed and surrounds the wrist, and a method of detecting an emergency situation using the same. According to the present invention, the generation of inconvenience and skin trouble due to the long-term wearing of a bio signal sensing apparatus is prevented. The weight of the bio signal sensing apparatus is light. The power consumption of the bio signal sensing apparatus is low so that a battery can be used for a long time by charging the battery once. The bio signal sensing apparatus detects an abnormal condition such as the emergency situation of a user, improves accuracy. The price of the bio signal sensing apparatus is relatively low, and detects the generation of emergency situation.
