The present invention relates to a soft magnetic composite material, a manufacturing method thereof, and an electronic component having the same as a core material, wherein the soft magnetic composite material has insulating layers formed along the interfaces of soft magnetic core metal powder. A soft magnetic composite material according to the present invention has insulating layers along interfaces between soft magnetic core metal particles, so existing film damage due to the molding of soft magnetic powder with insulating films can be prevented, thereby minimizing eddy current loss.
