<p>The present invention relates to a display device and a method for driving the same. According to the present invention, the display device includes: a display part, an interface part, an image processing part, a lookup table, and a data driving part. The display part comprises a plurality of data lines, a plurality of scan lines, and a plurality of pixels individually connected to a corresponding data line and a corresponding scan line. The interface part generates at least one among maximum target brightness, target gradations, target chromaticity coordinates, and chromaticity coordinate variations, which are selected, as user control data. The image processing part configures maximum brightness data as well as color data for each reference gradation based on the user control data, and converts input data into image data by using the maximum brightness data and the color data. The maximum brightness data and the color data are stored in the lookup table. The data driving part generates a plurality of data signals based on the image data and supplies the data signals to the data lines.</p> |
