The table (1) has a plate (3) moving in translation with respect to a base plate (2) in a horizontal plane formed by axes (X, Y). A display unit displays a position of the plate in the plane. The display unit comprises a display screen on which an image illustrating the plate from top view is displayed. The position of the plate in the image is representative of real position of the plate with respect to the base plate. The display image includes a first reference mark e.g. cross, corresponding to the center of the plate and a second reference mark e.g. rectangle or square.
