The present invention provides a chair for a movie capable of controlling a motion according to whether a user is seated and the weight of the seated user, and a motion control method thereof. According to a first embodiment of the present invention, the chair for movies comprises: a chair main body; a motion generating unit to generate a motion to the chair main body according to the scenario of the movie playing; a pressure sensor unit to detect the pressure applied to the chair main body, and to measure the weight of a seated user; and a controlling unit to control the operation of the motion generating unit according to the weight measurement result and the detection result of the pressure sensor unit. |
