PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: a protection apparatus capable of simplifying a complicated test procedure for protecting an AC filter or a transformer bank for conversion in an HVDC system and at the same time enhancing the reliability thereof; and a method of verifying an operation of the protection apparatus.SOLUTION: A method of verifying an operation of a protection apparatus includes the steps of: setting a plurality of relay elements for sensing an abnormal state of the protection apparatus; receiving an input regarding test information for testing each of the plurality of relay elements having been set; and, when there is a relay element, in which an abnormal state has occurred, among the plurality of relay elements according to the reception of the input regarding the test information, identifying whether the protection apparatus has created an abnormal state sensing signal. |
