<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scanning unit for scanning a reference scale, and a position measuring device.SOLUTION: A scanning unit 2 of a position measuring device has a casing 23, and a detector for generating scanning signals depending on a position is arranged in the internal space thereof. The scanning signals are taken out to the outside of the casing 23 through wiring. The electrical wiring passes through a rotor 3 pivotally supported by the casing 23 rotatably around a revolving shaft M extending in the measuring direction X. The rotor 3 is constituted of two parts, and the rotor 3 is pivotally supported by the casing 23 by using a first part, and a second part is extended in the bent state by 90° with respect to the first part.</p> |
