PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic light-emitting element in which a plasmon loss is suppressed and light obtained by the effect of suppressing a plasmon loss can be extracted to the outside with high efficiency, and degradation of the material is decreased, and to provide a method for manufacturing the organic light-emitting element.SOLUTION: At least a first transparent electrode 120, a second transparent electrode 160 comprising a metal material and a dielectric material, and an organic light-emitting layer 140 disposed between the first transparent electrode and the second transparent electrode are layered on a substrate 110 composed of a light-scattering body; and a reflection mirror layer 190 is positioned to interpose the second transparent electrode between the mirror layer and the organic light-emitting layer, or positioned to interpose the substrate composed of the light-scattering body between the mirror layer and the first transparent electrode. The dielectric material included in the second transparent electrode is a plurality of dielectric films 170A, B, while the metal material is a metal thin film 180 disposed in at least one interlayer space of the plurality of dielectric films. The second transparent electrode is deposited on the organic light-emitting element by a vacuum vapor deposition method or the like.
