A backlight module and a liquid crystal display comprising the same. The backlight module comprises a light guide plate (13), a plastic frame (14), a bent radiating board (30), and a positioning block (40) used in coordination with the radiating board (30) and used for fixing the plastic frame (14). A source light (33) facing the light guide plate is disposed on a side wall (32), located on an incident side of the light guide plate (13), of the radiating board (30). The positioning block (40) is of a trough structure comprising a first wall (41) and a second wall (42). In an assembled state, the positioning block (40) is disposed on the top of the side wall (32), provided with the source light, of the radiating board (30), the first wall (41) is engaged with the plastic frame (14), and the second wall (42) abuts against the light guide plate (13). By using the backlight module, a frame of the liquid crystal display can be narrowed and other problems of the liquid crystal display are not caused. |
