PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photoelectric conversion element and an organic thin-film solar cell which are inexpensive and exhibit high photoelectric conversion efficiency.SOLUTION: In the photoelectric conversion element, a photoelectric conversion layer is provided between two or more electrodes facing each other, and a buffer layer is provided between at least one of the electrodes and the photoelectric conversion layer. The buffer layer is formed using a surfactant with a surface tension of 22.9 mN/m or less, preferably a fluorine-based surfactant such as (1) an anionic fluorine-containing surfactant, (2) a cationic fluorine-containing surfactant, (3) an amphoteric fluorine-containing surfactant, (4) a nonionic fluorine-containing surfactant, or (5) a fluorine-containing oligomer. The organic thin-film solar cell uses the photoelectric conversion element. |
