<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of accurately performing roller deformation prevention processing, temperature rise suppression processing, or the like for fixation performed in a power saving operation mode at desired timing, when returning from the power saving operation mode.SOLUTION: When returning from the power saving operation mode, an engine control part 203 obtains the time elapsed during the power saving operation mode from a controller part 201 and reflects the elapsed time to the temperature rise suppression processing, to accurately perform the temperature rise suppression processing, even after returning from the power saving operation mode. Further, the engine control part receives the instruction of returning from the power saving operation mode from the controller part, after a specified time and periodically performs the minute rotation processing of a fixing unit, to perform the minute rotation processing of the fixing unit at the desired timing, even in the power saving operation mode.</p> |
