A transparent polyimide copolymer which has highly satisfactory solvent-solubility, storage stability, heat resistance, mechanical strength and heat yellowing resistance, and which has excellent practical utility; a polyimide resin composition and molded article; and a production method of said copolymer are provided. This transparent polyimide copolymer is formed by copolymerizing (A) a 4,4'-oxydiphthalic acid dianhydride and/or a 2,2-bis(3,4-dicarboxyphenyl) hexafluoropropane dianhydride, and (B) one or more types of diamine and/or diisocyanate represented by general formulae (1)-(3) (in the formulae, X is an amino group or an isocyanate group, R1-R8 are independently a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group having 1-4 carbon atoms, an alkenyl group having 2-4 carbon atoms, or an alkoxy group having 1-4 carbon atoms, and at least one of R1-R8 is not a hydrogen atom.). |
