Disclosed are a control information transmission method, a user equipment, and a base station. The present invention relates to the field of radio technologies. The method comprises: a user equipment obtaining configuration information of enhanced physical downlink control channel (EPDCCH) sets; the user equipment determining, according to the configuration information, at least one EPDCCH set from the EPDCCH sets, an EPDCCH of the at least one EPDCCH set needing to be monitored; and the user equipment monitoring the EPDCCH on a resource corresponding to the at least one EPDCCH set, and obtaining control information sent by a base station. In the preset invention, because the at least one EPDCCH set is only part of EPDCCH sets corresponding to EPDCCH public search space and the part can be monitored by users with different capabilities in a system, public control information needing to be detected by all users is sent on the part of the EPDCCH sets, and therefore, repeated transmission of the public control information can be avoided, overheads of control signaling can be reduced, and the use rate of a frequency spectrum is improved. |
