The present invention relates to a variable liquid column oscillator apparatus and a wave power generation apparatus using the same. The wave power generation apparatus using the variable liquid column oscillator apparatus includes an air chamber floating on the sea surface and a liquid column channel which is mounted in the air chamber formed with a perpendicular liquid column to vary the water level of hydraulic fluid which is filled in an inner portion along wave. The wave power generation apparatus comprises: a wave sensing device mounted between the air chamber and the atmosphere for sensing the period of vibration of the wave; a controller which controls the volume of the air chamber according to the result of the sensing from the wave sensing device; and a power generator which is equipped at the upper part of the liquid column channel and generates power according to the change in the water level of the perpendicular liquid column of the hydraulic fluid using the air in the liquid column channel to be compressed or the expanded.
