PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition for a tire, which can prevent discoloration as well as improve ozone resistance while maintaining or improving good elongation at break, and to provide a pneumatic tire using the composition.SOLUTION: The rubber composition for a tire comprises a rubber component, a natural wax having an ester component content of 40 to 98 mass%, a phenylene diamine-based and/or quinone-based anti-ageing agent, and a specific nonionic surfactant. The composition contains diene rubber by 70 to 100 mass% in 100 mass% of the rubber component; and with respect to 100 parts by mass of the rubber component, the composition contains 0.01 to 5.0 parts by mass of the natural wax, 0 to 6.0 parts by mass of a petroleum-derived wax, 1.0 to 8.0 parts by mass of the phenylene diamine-based and the quinone-based anti-ageing agent in total, and 0.1 to 5.0 parts by mass of the nonionic surfactant. |
