PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide silica-coated inorganic oxide particles having excellent fluidity characteristics, and a method for producing the same.SOLUTION: The method for producing silica-coated inorganic oxide particles comprises: a cracking step of cracking raw material silica particles in which the volume average particle diameter of the primary particles is 200 nm or lower in such a manner that bulk density reaches 450 g/L or lower; and a mixing step of mixing the silica particles obtained in the cracking step with inorganic oxide particles having the volume average particle diameter larger than that of the silica particles to stick the silica particles to the surfaces of the inorganic oxide particles. By sticking the silica particles having the above characteristics to the surfaces of the inorganic oxide particles, the stuck silica particles are interposed between a space between the inorganic oxide particles to improve the fluidity characteristics of the inorganic oxide particles. The silic particles having the above characteristics being powder are separated almost to the primary particles in spite of their particle diameter in a nanometer order.
