PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device capable of solving a problem of contrast decrease by controlling a through current which flows on a light emitter in a non-light emission period.SOLUTION: The display device includes: a pixel array part which is constituted of a P-channel type drive transistor for driving a light emitter, a sampling transistor for writing a signal voltage, a light emission control transistor for controlling light emission/non-light emission of a light emitter, a holding capacitor connected between a gate electrode and a source electrode of the drive transistor, and a pixel circuit including an auxiliary capacitor connected at one end to the source electrode of the drive transistor; and a drive unit that, when performing threshold correction, writes a reference voltage which is used for threshold correction on the gate electrode of the drive transistor in a state that the source electrode of the drive transistor is set as floating, and subsequently applies a pulse signal to the other end of the auxiliary capacitor. |
