PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a screw loosening device for achieving the state, in which a bit and a thread groove are properly fitted, without damaging a screw when the screw is loosened.SOLUTION: A screw loosening device 100 comprises: a bit 8; a bit drive part for turning the bit in a loosening direction and in a fastening direction of a screw 12; a shaft drive part for moving the bit in directions to approach and leave the screw to be loosened; a fitting state detection part 6a for detecting the fitted state of the bit and the screw; and a control part for releasing the drive of the shaft drive part, after the bit was moved by the shift drive part toward the screw to a predetermined position, and for turning the bit in the screw loosening direction by the bit drive part after the fit of the bit and the screw was confirmed by the fitting state detection part. |
