PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for forming a laminate in which film sheets are not shifted from each other, when using two or more laminate webs different by roll widths and laminating at least two film sheets cut from the laminate webs to form a laminate.SOLUTION: In the method and device for forming a laminate, when two or more rolls R1 and R2 of laminate webs for use in manufacturing of an optical display device are preliminarily manufactured, the accuracy in cutting the rolls so as to equalize a roll width of one of the rolls to a dimension corresponding to a longer side of a display panel and equalize a roll width of the other to a dimension corresponding to a shorter side of the display panel is not exactly controlled. The method and device include a process of measuring widths of laminate webs PW1 and PW2 sequentially fed from the rolls and forming adjacent cutting lines for controlling dimensions corresponding to roll widths of respective film sheets, in respective laminate webs PW1 and PW2 so as to equalize the measured width of one of the laminate webs to a length in a feed direction of the other and equalize the measured width of the other to a length in the feed direction of one. |
