An attachment apparatus for aerial lift or support of a portable human transport system comprised of a foldable litter element; wherein the litter element comprises two removable telescoping poles each positioned in parallel to accommodate the side edges of the litter element, and two transverse stabilizer bars attached to the ends of the telescoping poles to form a frame; the attachment comprising a collapsible canopy of dimensions that approximately correspond to the dimensions of the litter element when it is assembled; the canopy including:
a. An attachment point located approximately in the center thereof that connects with a horizontal support or aerial lift assembly; b. Long and short side panels attached together and supported by a canopy frame to form a structure with an elevated region in the center thereof corresponding to the attachment point; c. A zipper closure; d. A series of fasteners that attach the edges of the canopy to the edges of the litter element; and e. a rain-fly assembly.
