An electronic device and an image storage method thereof are provided. The image storage method includes acquiring a plurality of image frames, determining a number of image frames per compressed file and a tiling number for image frames, dividing each of the plurality of image frames into respective pluralities of image tiles having a same size according to the tiling number in response to the plurality of image frames being acquired, packaging the pluralities of image tiles into one or more packages according to the determined number of image frames per compressed file and respective locations of the image tiles, and compressing the one or more packages and storing a compressed result.
